Cahill joins Chelsea

Chelsea have confirmed the completion of the protracted signing of Gary Cahill from Bolton.

The England defender, 26, has become manager Andre Villas-Boas' first January recruit.

Cahill's capture, for a fee Press Association Sport understands to be around £7million, followed a fortnight of wrangling over the player's personal terms.
